Free Hosting Terms of Service

Welcome to 0000Free.com! We offer free website hosting with no advertisements and enterprise grade paid hosting services. All we ask in return is that you follow a few simple rules. So please be sure you have read, and understood, these Terms and Conditions. Please note, we have a Zero-Tolerance policy for any site that negatively affects our hosting community. Members who violate rules that are clearly laid out in our policy documents could find their entire web site suspended and/or deleted, possibly without prior notice. The interpretation of these guidelines is at the sole discretion of 0000Free.com:

General Free Hosting Rules

1. You must provide a valid email address
2. Your site must have an index page uploaded within 14 days to replace the default index.html - Sites failing to do so will be removed to make space for new accounts
3. 0000Free.com is not responsible for the content of any personal home page, nor do the opinions or ideas expressed in user-generated web pages necessarily reflect those of 0000Free.com. The contents of user-generated web pages are not reviewed or censored in any way before they appear on 0000Free.com (This rule applies to free plans only)
4. You may not set up a "gateway" site on the 0000Free.com free services. A "gateway" site is one which serves only as an entrance to the actual site located on a non-0000Free.com server
5. Your page should be active - that is, it is either receiving 'hits' or is being updated/posted to. Sites that either receive no hits or are not updated over a period of 60 days will be considered 'inactive' and may be removed by 0000Free.com to make room for other users (This rule applies to free plans only)
6. You may not use your web space to provide material, or links to material, that is grossly offensive to the Web community. This includes:
   • Blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity
   • Promotion or display of instructional information supporting illegal activities. This includes, but is not limited to, instructions for the building or use of weapons, propagation of "spam" email and/or computer viruses, or any material that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties
   • Promotion of physical harm or injury against any group or individual
7. You may not password protect access to your site. You can have specific log-ins to administrative areas on your site, but your main site should be publicly accessible
8. Your Web Pages may not contain, nor contain links to, any of the following:
   • Pornography or "adult" content.
   • PTC (Paid to Click) sites.
   • Child pornography, obscene material, bestiality and pictures that you don't have the right to publish.
   • Hate propaganda
   • Anything illegal including, but not limited to, illegal software, warez or hacked software, serial numbers, top-sites, mail fraud, or pyramid schemes
   • Material insulting, or that could be considered defamatory or libelous, to other persons, institutions or companies
   • Material that exploits children
   • Material which attempts to collect personal information about users
   • Materials infringing the intellectual property rights of third parties (including, but not limited to, trademarks, domain names, personality rights, names of individuals, publicity rights, logos, graphics, designs, films, and music), those which allow the circumvention of revenue rightfully due to a manufacturer for the sale of a product or the disabling of installed copy protected devices, and all other forms of cracker utilities, are strictly forbidden
9. You may not use vBulletin or IPB forums without prior approval and license verification.
10. Joomla based sites are not permitted due to the frequency of exploits and vulnerabilities in the software and it's extensions.
11. Spam sites are not allowed - sites that are just engineered for keywords, or to provide keyword links to other sites etc are not allowed.
12. WAP Sites are not allowed - Only sites designed for standard web browsers are allowed.
13. Your web site must be in English - Or have an English version available as well as the primary language.
14. You may not use unsolicited email to promote your site
15. 0000Free.com reserves the right to block or delete any site due to inappropriate behavior by the webmaster towards 0000Free.com, its staff or its users, which has been validated on public or private forums
16. You may not copy or reproduce any page, image or other content without the express prior consent of the original copyright owner of that content
17. By joining 0000Free.com you automatically receive our 0000Free.com E-News newsletter and occasional special promotions. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by following the instructions given within the newsletter.
18. If you are 13 years of age or under you may not become a member of 0000Free.com! The protection of children's online privacy is very important to The 0000Free.com Network. For that reason, it is our policy not to collect or maintain information at our web sites from those we actually know are under 13 and no part of our web sites are structured to attract anyone under 13.

Resource Usage Policy

The Resource Usage Policy is in place to protect the QoS (Quality of Service) for every customer and the hosting service as a whole. In a shared hosting environment resources are shared between all sites hosted on each hosting server. Individual sites are not allowed to over utilize or "usurp" server resources in such a manner that negatively impacts the QoS for other customers. Keep in mind, these rules are not actively enforced or monitored, but are in place as a reference should an issue occur. Sites found to be affecting the QoS in a negative manner will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

1. Disk space may not be used for the online storage of backups or data warehousing
2. Adult content of any sort is strictly prohibited
3. All interactive chat web applications are strictly prohibited on 0000Free.com's servers. This includes, but is not limited to, chat applications written in PHP, Perl, CGI, Python, Ruby, etc. Any web application that provides 'real-time' chat is not permitted. Shoutboxes, Chatboxes and other web based chat programs other than those specifically provided by 0000Free.com are prohibited. Remotely hosted chats (such as Mibbit) that are loaded in an iFrame on your site are allowed.
4. Stats programs and scripts are forbidden as are any site(s) that exist solely to gather stats and data from other sites, databases, games, servers or any other source.
5. Web applications that are out of date and actively being exploited will be shut down immediately without prior notice
6. (SEO) farms, search engine spiders/indexers or similar are strictly forbidden on 0000Free.com's networks
7. Banner and link exchanges are not permitted
8. File and image hosting is not permitted
9. Offering free hosting and free email hosting is not permitted
10. Absolutely no proxy scripts, rapidshare/rapidleech scripts, torrent trackers, bittorrent or any other script that uses unfair resources is allowed
11. Hate sites, hacking/hacker related sites, sites promoting illegal activity,hacking tools, mail bombing or spam scripts, or forums and web sites that distribute or promote warez content are expressly forbidden
12. Game servers, muds and online RPGs are forbidden on our networks

Resource Restrictions

1. Processes may not use more than 16 MB of RAM
2. Processes may not take longer than 15 seconds to execute
3. Processes may not create core-dumps
4. You may not run more than 5 simultaneous processes on your account
5. Processes may not "fork" or spawn sub-processes
6. Bots, services, daemons or any other program that listens on a particular port or ports are strictly forbidden
7. Each MySQL user is limited to 15 concurrent connections
8. Databases are limited to 1 GB's
9. There is a limit of 1500 MySQL queries per hour
10. Remote database connections are only permitted for administrating a database. You may not access a database hosted on 0000Free.com's servers from a remote script or program
11. HTTP connections may not exceed 50 simultaneous connections from a single IP
12. There is an 8 MB attachment limit on emails
13. Free hosting accounts are limited to sending 60 emails per hour
14. POP3 email accounts may not be "polled" more than 60 times per hour
15. Mailing lists and mailing list software are forbidden
16. All mail sent must comply with the rules set out in http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.htm
17. Direct SMTP mailing scripts are forbidden, you may only send mail through the SMTP software installed on the server, using sendmail or connecting via SMTP
18. Any sort of spam is forbidden
19. Cron-jobs may not run more frequently than at 15 minute intervals. Scripts started from cron should always be started with a high nice value so as to not slow the server. This is very important if the task to be done is very CPU intensive (such as compressing backups etc). This can be done by placing "nice -n 19" before the command. Crons found that are not "niced" may be removed without notice.

Enforcement

These resource usage policies are not actively monitored; however, in the event that a site is found to be negatively affecting the quality of service, these rules will be enforced. Sites in violation of any provision of this document, or otherwise deemed by 0000Free.com staff to be using excessive resources, may be disabled or suspended. The site owner will be notified and required to take steps to correct the cause of any issues. Sites found in violation of a major rule (adult or illegal content) will be suspended and possibly terminated at our sole discretion.

LEGAL TERMS

You, as the author of your pages, take full responsibility for their contents. As the author you state your pages contain nothing illegal, obscene, pornographic, degrading or abusive to another person and that none of your pages promote hate group propaganda or child pornography. As the author, you also state that nothing on your page is copyrighted material and that any links to other servers have been approved by that organization. As the author, you also state that nothing on your pages infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party. You agree that 0000Free.com has the right to remove any page it determines, at its sole discretion, has violated these rules and that they may cancel your membership and take whatever action against you they deem appropriate, including legal action and disclosing information about you to law enforcement authorities and other interested third parties. Members who are in breach of these rules agree to indemnify and hold harmless 0000Free.com for any loss, claim, damage and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from, or in connection with, the contents of any personal home pages or of any chat or messages on a bulletin board found to be infringing or illegal. By submitting your pages, you agree to all the above terms.

0000Free.com makes no guarantee as to availability of service. To the fullest extent permissible by law, 0000Free.com excludes all liability with respect to accuracy, content or availability of information on its web site. The materials in this site are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. 0000Free.com does not warrant that the function contained in the materials available on this web site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the servers that make them available are free of viruses or other harmful components. Any merchandise products or services available to users or members from links from this web site are provided by third parties who are not necessarily affiliated or connected with 0000Free.com.
